SHAFTS

STANDARD TIP TRIM

1.25” plus OEM recommended trim (allow 1.5” parallel section)

SHAFT PREPARATION

  • Abrade shaft tip 0.75” (remove all paint from tip section)
  • Clean abraded shaft tip (acetone recommended)

ADAPTER PREPARATION

  • Abrade inside of Faz-Fit Shaft Adapter
  • Clean inside (cotton swab and acetone recommended)

INSTALLATION

  • Fully mix 2-part epoxy (golf club specific – other epoxies NOT recommended)
  • Fully coat inside of adapter and outside of shaft tip with epoxy
  • Insert shaft into adapter (NOTE: shafting beads may be needed for better fit)
  • Rotate to desired position (Default: shaft logo aligned with “dot(s)” on adapter)
  • Tamp until shaft tip reaches full depth of adapter
  • Wipe off excess epoxy on outside of shaft and adapter
  • Allow epoxy to fully cure before handling again

FINISHING

  • Fairway Wood – butt trim to desired length (w/o head)
    • Butt trim to 41” (w/o head) = 43” (total length w/ head)
    • Convert length appropriately (e.g. 40.5” = 42.5”, etc.)
  • Hybrid – butt trim to desired length (w/o head)
    • Butt trim to 38” (w/o head) = 40.25” (total length w/ head)
    • Convert length appropriately (e.g. 37.25” = 39.5”, etc.)
  • Affix head to shaft, then measure CPM (no grip; 5” clamp at 40 psi)
  • Install grip to desired position (Default: align grip logo with shaft logo)
  • Label shaft with length and CPM (Default: 0.5” below grip, opposite of logos)

HEADS

Must reference previously built shaft w/ Faz-Fit

ALTERATION

Head weight with all Faz-Fit components should equal OEM weight

  • Record OEM weight of head (w/ OEM adjustable adapter if applicable)
  • Remove OEM ferrule (if applicable)
  • Dry fit Faz-Fit Hosel Adapter w/ Nut into hosel
  • Affix dry fitted head to shaft (previously built w/ Faz-Fit)
  • Measure total length
  • Measure the difference of labeled shaft length to actual club length
  • Cut the difference in length from the hosel (if possible)
  • Record weight of head, Faz-Fit Shaft & Hosel Adapter w/ Nut
  • Add or relieve weight (if possible) to match original OEM weight

INSTALLATION

Bonding Faz-Fit Hosel Adapter w/ Nut and head

  • Abrade inside of hosel
  • Abrade Faz-Fit Hosel Adapter
  • Clean all abraded surfaces (acetone recommended)
  • Fully mix 2-part epoxy (golf club specific – other epoxies NOT recommended)
  • Fully apply a light coat of epoxy inside the hosel
  • Feed Hosel Adapter through Nut
  • Insert Faz-Fit Hosel Ad. Install Tool into Hosel Adapter
  • Carefully apply epoxy to the portion of Hosel Adapter that inserts the hosel
  • Insert fully into hosel
  • Align indicator line on Faz-Fit Hosel Ad. Install Tool parallel to club face
  • Wipe excess epoxy (NO NOT LEAVE EPOXY ON ANY THREADINGS)
  • Remove Install Tool
  • Allow epoxy to fully cure before handling again
